Complex Cities Series

| Complex Cities Series |

The use of printmaking practices addresses the process of automation and mass production that surround us nowadays as it offers the possibility of combine multiple layers over and over. In contrast, it also allows to explore the singularity of each print, making it unique and unrepeatable. The combination of the collected images, as well as the addition and subtraction process, often appear in the resulting prints. Sometimes I use collected objects from the surrounding places, exploring the wear marks, like a witness.
The sense of scale is explored in a dialogue between details and large landscapes, abstraction and figuration, oscillating through a multiplicity of realities of the same place, represented by imaginative constructions or maps that will not lead us to a particular place or purpose, leaving us the question of where we really are and where we actually might be going.
